M. Papadopouoli and H. Schulzrinne described a system that could facilitate collaboration between mobile hosts only intermittently connected to the internet. To study this phenomenon, the authors constructed a system called "7DS" which to them resembled the concept of 6 Degrees of Separation, or "6DS."
